Inge V. Wyk is a South African fantasy author who found her passion in writing originally through art and daydreaming. She enjoys creating stories with immersive adventures, magic, feelings, resilience and the beauty of the natural world. When she’s not working on her books, she is usually with friends or studying English and geographical sciences.
My Story
Before I was a writer, I was an artist. I'd been an artist for my entire life, but I felt restricted and limited with the many commissions I received. I was creatively frustrated and felt as though I could not truly express myself. When I started reading around the age of 11, I felt so inspired by the stories I buried my nose in that I decided to write one. And then another, and another. Over the years I've started countless books and built numerous fantasy worlds. When I was 16, I had the idea for Us Destroyed. I started writing it and building Vorian. Eventually I fell so deeply in love with the story that I decided to publish it. Since then, I've been writing. I now use my skills in art to design my covers, maps and graphics. P.S. I also designed this website myself.
Inge V. Wyk was born and raised in South Africa, where she currently lives in Cape Town. She has a passion for geography and writing, and uses her life experiences to shape the depth of the characters in her stories. She plans to study both Geography and English at university in 2027. She often helps out at her local Church and is a social butterfly.
